DRAPERY FACTORY:

The Silver State Industries Drapery Factory at Ely State Prison manufactures custom, Government and Commercial Draperies. We are a federally certified shop. We have shipped custom draperies nationally and internationally.

This shop manufactures custom draperies in either pinch pleats or rod pockets as well as several different types of valences. If the pair or panel of pinch pleat draperies call for a baton draw, a stiffener is sewn into the corresponding corner of the panel and a grommet attached. All panels or pair of drapes have a sew-in label sewn into a pleat on the return side. This sew-in label will describe the dimensions of the drapery and will include the room or building number.

Our finished products are shipped to the contractors job site ready to be installed. In other words, each panel or pair are pinned with stainless steel drapery hooks, corners or seams weight with weights. fan folded, tied and placed in a 4 mm thick drapery bag. Each bag is identified as to it's contents specification and location of installation. Each box used to ship the draperies has a bursting strength of 300 pounds. The size of each box allows us to ship via UPS or by motor carrier.

Our clients furnish the drapery factory with the following materials, face fabric, lining, stiffeners, sew-in labels. The customer pays all freight.

The drapery factory furnishes everything else needed to manufacture the custom draperies. Our excellent rates are based on the labor or number of widths and stiffeners called for.

There are two labor rates and one stiffener rate for all jobs. The lined labor rate is $4.75 per width. The unlined labor rate is $3.75 per width. The railroad or 118" goods are calculated as 48" material. All half widths are charged at the full width rate. Stiffeners are sewn on for .30 cents each. For very wide or very long draperies, a slight additional charge could be applied. All draperies have a warranty and satisfaction is guaranteed on the job site.
